چکیده
The increase in irrigated maize plantings Northern China has increased the demand for irrigation water region, resulting chronic shortages drier years. Efficient and use are essential sustainable development management of resources area. This research applied DSSAT-maize Loess Plateau (Fenhe basin) to determine suitable optimum sowing dates ensure stability spring production. model was calibrated using full treatment 2017–2019 growing seasons. Crop data, such as plant phenological phases, aboveground biomass, crop yield, leaf area index, were used calibration. calibration showed great consistency between measured simulated with nRMSE (normalized root mean square error) ranging from 0.77% 21.6%. field values LAI, soil content, efficiency evaluate model’s performance, evaluation found be satisfactory acceptable 1.9% 25.3%. Optimum productivity 15 25 May. timing volume application 85 mm at tasseling phase grouting respectively. Therefore, yield can by applying altering date case rainfall is insufficient satisfy crops Fenhe basin.

CERES–Maize Model for Determining the Optimum Planting Dates of Early Maturing Maize Varieties in Northern Nigeria
Field trials were carried out in the Sudan Savannah of Nigeria to assess the usefulness of CERES-maize crop model as a decision support tool for optimizing maize production through manipulation of plant dates. The calibration experiments comprised of 20 maize varieties planted during the dry and rainy seasons of 2014 and 2015 at Bayero University Kano and Audu Bako College of Agriculture Dambat...

Impact of spatial-temporal variations of climatic variables on summer maize yield in North China Plain
Summer maize (Zea mays L.) is one of the dominant crops in the North China Plain (NCP). Its growth is greatly influenced by the spatial-temporal variation of climatic variables, especially solar radiation, temperature and rainfall. The WOFOST (version 7.1) model was applied to evaluate the impact of climatic variability on summer maize yields using historical meteorological data from 1961 to 20...

In order to study the response of morphology, yield and yield components of spring safflower (Carthamus tinctorious L.) cultivars to different sowing dates, an experiment was carried out using a split-plot design on the basis of a randomized complete block design with four replications, in Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources University of Khouzestan, south-west of Iran at 2016-2017. Exp...
متن کاملThe effect of planting methods on maize growth and yield at different irrigation regimes
ABSTRACT- Maize production, which is ranked after wheat and barely in Fars province, Iran, needs a considerable amount of irrigation water that is not available in scarce water conditions in drought situations. Therefore, proper planting method can improve irrigation water management. The objectives of the present study were to investigate the effects of two planting methods, on-bed and in furr...
